Valley View Retreat ยท A Pure Off-Grid Camping Experience
๐๏ธ We post our rules ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect. To keep the campground safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, all guests and visitors agree to follow these. Management reserves the right to remove anyone who violates them, without refund.
Off-grid experience, connectivity & site boundaries
Valley View Retreat is a pure off-grid camping experience. There is limited electricity, running water, and lighting โ come prepared and self-sufficient.
High-speed Wi-Fi is provided via Starlink, covering the camping areas, so you can stay connected and use Wi-Fi calling even where cell signal is weak.
Cellular coverage here is very limited โ Verizon generally works best; AT&T and T-Mobile typically do not work here.
Do not travel beyond the general camping area without permission. Beyond it there is no Wi-Fi and very limited to no cell service โ we recommend a two-way radio. Leaving the area without an attendant escort is a violation of your camping agreement.
Emergencies
In an emergency, call 911 using a Verizon cell phone or via Starlink Wi-Fi calling, then notify management as soon as possible.
A volunteer fire department is approximately 2 miles away; response times can be long given the rural location.
The nearest hospital is approximately 18 miles away in Hot Springs.
Plan ahead, bring a first-aid kit, and do not rely on immediate emergency response.

We're a small homestead โ come say hi to our goats and chickens. Guided visits may be available; ask management.
